Black Heated Insoles

Heated Insoles and Heated Gloves

The extremities get colder faster than any other part of the body. The body cannot keep up circulation to the hands and feet as well as other parts of the body. Many of us have had numb hands and fingers and a perhaps a nose or earlobes. The hands and feet are also the parts of the body that come into contact with the world. The feet walk in the snow, through water, and on cold concrete. The hands grasp a cold motorcycle hand grip, pick up all kinds of gear, and are put out singularly into the cold.

Do you Need to Suffer?

Many people figure that suffering from the cold is transitory. You only feel the cold in the morning, during the winter, or during a ski trip. Many of us learn to live with being a bit uncomfortable. There are people that ride their motorcycle with icy frozen hands and feet. There are people that go out in the winter to play or work and find that their feet are frozen after a few hours outdoors. People sometimes think that it is just part of life to be so cold it's miserable.

Heated Insoles Keep You Warm

When one part of the body is cold, the rest of it seems to get cold a lot faster. The body has a defense mechanism built in to keep the body healthy. If the hands or feet get too cold, the body will tell you that the whole thing is to cold and to go in the house and warm up. It is a fact that keeping the extremities warm will make the individual feel more warm all over.

In recent years, there have been some pretty amazing things done with heated insoles. You can heat up the insoles by recharging them and then just putting them in your boots or shoes. The insoles design is a smart design. The heat is dispersed where it is needed most. For example, the outer toes get the right focused intense heat that is needed. Most insoles can be charged one time and then the heat will last for around eight hours. That means you can go out all day long and be toasty warm.

Air Activated Heated Insoles

There are also insoles that are air activated. Heated air insoles will keep you warm for around five hours. The idea of an air heated insole is that it is disposable. You can take it with you camping or snowmobiling. When you get too cold, you simply pull out the insole and insert it in your shoe. You will be warm in no time.

There are other heating products that are similar to the heated insole. For example, heated socks have been around for a long time. With the recent invention of lithium ion batteries, heated socks are a much better product. The battery is very light and is put into a pouch at the top of the sock. Then, a cord connects to the battery for charging. Most of the time battery heated socks are used for walking around the house, but they can also be used outdoors. The manufacturers recommend wearing a thin washable sock underneath so that you don't wash the outer battery powered sock very often. Battery powered socks are hand wash only.

We think a heated insole is the best solution available. The heated insoles are easy to carry and can go in just about any boot or shoe. The heated insole lasts a long time with a single charge. Rechargeable insoles a much better deal than air activated insoles. You can use rechargeable insoles a lot of times and the air activated insoles only last for one time.

Heated Gloves

The heated glove is an awesome invention. Have you ever rode a bike out in the cold weather? Your hands get cold and very quickly. The wind against the hand is brutal. Think about riding a motorcycle or snowmobile and how much wind will whip past your hand. Your hands can become numb even with a good pair of gloves on.

Heated gloves are smartly designed. The heat is concentrated in the fingertips and the back of the hand. Many times people will buy a thin heated glove that is rechargeable. Then, people can simly put on a mitten or glove over the top. The good thing about a glove liner is that you get so many more options of outer gloves to wear.

When purchasing heated gloves, don't forget about mittens. We all know that mittens are warmer than gloves. The same is true for heated gloves; the heated mittens are warmer than the heated gloves.

Another way to solve the problem of cold hands is to have heated grips. For example, heated steering wheels and heated motorcycle grips are popular accessories. The first time you feel heat coming out of a motorcycle grip or steering wheel, you will be amazed at how good it feels. Some people, if it is cold enough, will still wear gloves. You can feel the heat seep right through the glove to your hands. Most people prefer grips to heated gloves, but the heated gloves are certainly more versatile and once you take your hands off the grips or steering wheel, then what?

Heated Clothing Comes of Age

Today, there are so many heated clothing choices. The typical heated clothing arsenal consists of heated insoles, heated gloves, and a heated vest. The heated vest is meant to be a layer that goes under a coat. In all heated clothing, you will find that it, most of the time, is good at keeping out wind. Manufacturers of heated clothing know how devastating wind can be to staying warm. Some people like to also have heated socks, but that is more of a fun home trend. Most people that use heated socks use them to wear around the home so that they are close to barefoot and their feet stay warm. Heated socks are often a novelty Christmas present. Heated gloves and heated insoles are more serious. You need them to stay warm.

The advance of the lithium ion battery has made it so much easier for clothing manufacturers. A very light battery can now power clothing for much longer than it once could. In the last few years, heated clothing has been able to last much longer on a single charge. The days of using 12 D size batteries to power up a single sock for one hour are over.

If you want more, it is there. You can get heated pants, heated shirts, heated jackets, heated hats, heated underwear, and more. One note of caution. If you use the heated underwear, make sure that you don't turn the heat up too high (joking, of course). Heated pants are probably a good idea for people that ride a lot or that are in the snow a lot. Most pants are just not able to keep the legs warm against snow or wind. The nice thing about a heated jacket is that you can do more with less. You can wear a thinner heated jacket instead of a large puffy coat. The head is where you lose most of your body heat and a heated hat is a great idea. Think about how warm you would be on a camping trip, if you sleep with a heated hat. I wonder if they make heated sleeping bags.

Final Tip

The best way to stay warm is to dress in layers. Each layer of clothing will keep heat from escaping the body. Heated clothing works on the same principle. Much of the heated clothing is designed to be worn in layers. Finally, the most important areas that heated clothing technology helps the most for are the hands and feet. A good pair of heated insoles and heated gloves are often the main necessary component for people to stay warm.
